Day Tripper #2

Auction Description - 2008

A rare Beatles single sided 7" Uk Emidisc acetate the title is 'Day Tripper'.

Hand written label reads: '12.10.65  45  KS  THE BEATLES'

This is a very interesting demo disc.

This acetate version is different from the standard mono pressing which was released in 1965.

The differences are the following: the mixing is different, at the end they repeat the 'Day Tripper yeah' less and the tempo of the song is slower than on the released version.

It comes in a white sleeve.

Condition of disc :

The playing surface has lots of marks all over but no serious scrathes. There are background noises throughout and a few pops but no skips or jumps and the sound quality on the whole is still enjoyable.

The look I would say Very Good, the sound quality is much better.

Proof of originality:

-First and formost: Ken Scott who was the sound enginieer of the Beatles and made this acetate confirmed that the acetate is original and it is his handwriting on the record.

-I have some more acetate from different bands (Beatles, R. Stones, Applejacks... etc). I took some Beatles acetete to a well known

auction house (Christies's) where after an expert carefully checked

them they went on sale and all of them were sold.

The 'Day Tripper' acetate is from the same collection. I can prove all the above information and the buyer can be sure that the acetate is original.
