NOTES

Unfortunately, the first time I came across this acetate wasshortly after the auction had finished, otherwise I will have visited the auction house.

The hand written annotation is in an unknown hand, when compared with earlier Beatles acetates, this could be because it was the first Beatles session that the a new EMI engineer, Alan Parson sat in. There were several takes of Get Back and after mixing by Glyn Johns and AP cut acetate(s) .

I'm not aware of this mix currently circulating amongst fans, whilst the Nagra tapes will have the raw version.

Auction Description - 2020

The Bealtes - UK Emidisc 7" - Get Back - an incredibly rare original single-sided acetate recording of ' Get Back '. Contains an alternative mix of the song, with studio chatter between Paul & John towards the end. Handwritten details to front label ' 2' 03 - Mono - Get Back - 23/1/69 - Beatles '. Some light scratches noted ( a more noticeable scratch towards the left corner), and general scuffing to edges - not affecting the playing. Supplied within its original paper sleeve. Rare piece of Beatles memorabilia.
