There appear to be two Dick James acetates of Like Dreamers Do and reporting errors has lead to confusion

This page is currently a composite of all info and I will try and unpick :

a) if there are two discs , probably yes and if so

b)which sales match each disc.

Version A Unknown mix if any, of a track from the famous Decca Sessions.

Version B a demo cut in 1963 or 1964 for the purpose of promoting Lennon/McCartney songs for other artists to possibly record.

This song was recorded by the Applejacks in 1964 , so this may give an indication of the Cutting date

A single sided, 45 rpm 7-inch acetate with a printed dick james music limited demo disc label with typed title like dreamers do, and artist demo, when in fact this is a recording of the Beatles.

AN ACETATE RECORDING OF `LIKE DREAMERS DO' BY THE BEATLES, 1963/64
a single-sided Dick James Music 45rpm demo disc, label with typewritten recording details This was one of the fifteen songs taped by the Beatles at their Decca audition, 1st January 1962, and was one of three Lennon/McCartney compositions recorded that day. It was eventually released by the Applejacks in 1964, on the Decca label.

1988 - Auction Info - Lot 152

A Scarce and Important Acetate Recording of Beatles Unreleased Single 'Like Dreamers Do', Circa 1962, the 7" acetate recording on Dick James Label with type written title in original slip sleeve.
This Lennon/McCartney composition was originally performed at the Decca Records audition by the Beatles in 1962. This acetate was recorded and given to the Applejacks prior to this group recording and releasing the composition. £600-800.
