xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I have no evidence to support the matter either way but would remind collectors of the wise statement Caveat emptor when dealing with acetates. They were a standard recording media of the period and blank discs were sold by the tin full. Just because it is an EMI acetate does not guarantee that it was cut by or for EMI or the Beatles or that it contains any rare or new Beatles material. |

2012 AuctionThis is a 10 inch, one sided mono Beatles acetate for the song ’ Mother Nature’s Son ’ . It was released on the ’ White Album ’ in 1968. Although the COA says that this acetate features the final released version of the song, at the very beginning of the song the guitar intro is shorter than on the final released version. Visually is in VG condition with a lot of light harline marks all over but no serious scratches. There are stronger backgound noises throughout and a few stronger pops here and there but plays well and the sound quality is still enjoyable. No skips or jumps. It comes with a certificate of authenticity by Perry Cox, who is the best known Beatles Expert. |
