In his March 1997 edition of the 910 newsletter (Leaning On A Lamppost cover) Doug Sulpy reviewed a limited distribution CDR entitled Entomology that he had received. He supplied readers with tantalizing but somewhat vague information about the disc's contents in that review.
As it purportedly contained several previously unheard Beatles performances / upgrades, fans began to clamor for the disc. Dribs and drabs soon began leaking out. Some of these tracks made their way to Roaring Mouse's From Me To You title. The number of tracks unique to Entomology dwindled one by one over time. Finally, only one track remained for fans wonder about, the elusive previously unheard outtake of Happiness is a Warm Gun.
Ironically, Happiness, as it turns out, has since been pronounced to be an out-fake. Nonetheless, using that review with its accompanying track listing as reference, and with art reconstructed as best as I was able to from low res scans a very thoughtful person posted to the internet many moons ago, this recreation of Entomology is as close as I think I can get to Entomology's musical content and art. I took a certain liberty to substitute a lesser known outtake of Happiness is a Warm Gun as a placeholder.
If you happen to have that Happiness track yourself, and feel like you want to lay the quest fully to rest (of course, hopefully without burning one or more of those all important bridges), by all means, you will be most welcome.
