Another Misterclaudel release, this time of the commonly available Decca Audition, not once but twice, the second version in Pseudo Stereo.

The artwork describes the sources as Joe Pope's Deccagone Single Masters and the Circuit LP Versions. Whilst the Audifon album on the Circuit label can be ignored, if this is the Master from which Joe Pope cut his famous Deccagone Singles, we should have an upgrade and if they provide the whole tape the correct order may at last be determined. Pre release my concern is that we have nothing new here just Dr Ebbett's - The Decca Audition issued in an alternate order.

The 'Joe Pope Masters' track listing here differs to the current order suggested by Lewisohn who makes no suggestion as to why he believes his listing to be correct. Hopefully this is an indication that we have something new rather than Mistercladel shuffling tracks for a quick buck.

A very good factory pressed fake is circulating and whilst side by side they are easy to distinguish with lower quality artwork, if you are looking for an original, check the matrix , to be certain that you are getting a Genuine Misterclaudel.
