Comments:

The second release from the obscure Japanese label provided more complete artwork but less in new material, just four songs from three different sources. A John Lennon title themed around the Guest appearance of John and Yoko at a Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention Concert in New York in 1971 at the Fillmore East.

With the three versions here, two commercially released and an audience recording of the 23 minute collaboration, you would have thought that this historic guest appearance would have been fully documented . Unfortunately not and you will also need to look out the Fillmore's in house video to locate the missing bits which can be located:

Audio - Lennon Renumbers - Bell Bottom

Video - John Lennon's Remastered Archives 1971 Vol.1 - FAB Productions

I have used the 'Lennon' song titles through out to avoid confusion but that doesn't mean that the 'Zappa' titles are incorrect just that they are alternate names for the same pieces, possibly for copyright issues.

The final track on disc 2 is an incomplete radio broadcast that John and Yoko made on the WPLJ radio station. A cassette owned by Howard Smith, WPLJ Disc Jockey, was auctioned by It's Only Rock N Roll auction house in December 2006 and included some back stage rehearsals. Do either of these two sources circulate complete

Unfortunately this obscure and very short release, when you remove the pirated material and incomplete radio show is CORE so completests will need it . Casual fans can happily give it a miss.
