At the time of it's release this was a Gray, Quais Legal release,being retailed in the UK at all major high street stores,until the courts decided to the contrary. The manufacturers as with many of these Gray labels left off the the three Lennon/McCartney in a hope that that their legitimacy would not be challenged, some tracks were also artificially lengthened. Why? Surprisingly at a time when there were literally dozens of protection gap companies releasing all manner of Bootleg and pirate releases at low low prices this title was sold at a price comparable to official releases. Not surprisingly after the court case the discs started to hit the bargain buckets. Unfortunately many unsuspecting collectors who were not familiar with these unofficial releases will have been confused when the tracks became more common. There was a simultaneous release on Vinyl TOP181 and Cassette KTOP181 . If any one has images of these could they please forward copies. |
