Unicorn brings another new source to fans on their CDR label. This time sourced from a 10" double sided Apple (US) acetate, with an alternate mastering of the evening charity show a Concert for Bangladesh. Some sources have made a large play that track one is listed as an ' Introduction To Dylan', but as a concert recording scheduled for release on record I can not see that this is anything more than a novelty. The recording is clearly sourced from 'vinyl/lacquer' and does not appear to be different to side 5 and 6 of the released. The disc images shown on the inside cover shows a 1st December 1971 date, probably the cutting date. The second element of the disc is an interview George undertook on VARA radio in 1971, the music has been edited from the show. Unfortunately I have been unable to trace more information about this show but suspect that it was recorded in October 1971 after a press announcement on the 5th October that the album would be available in November and and not to buy Bootlegs of the show. |
