Comments:
Another themed releases from the Yellow Dog this time around Carl Perkins and
Paul. Whilst a very listenable and remaining a CORE release after a decade,
for me the disc is of limited value with the majority of material being 'lifted'
from visual sources now being more readily available, so why just have the soundtracks.
The Monserratt concert is a unique narrow stereo - dry mix used for the Pay
Per View show, shortly after the show and despite the show having been commercially
released will remain a source for the collector.
Unfortunately the 'Back Stage Reunion' after the Soundcheck in April 1993 is
only extracts from the commercially available video Go Cat Go! which was released
in 1997. So why not refer the video for the complete footage, context and of
course the video.
So whilst the disc retains it's CORE status , it now probably has limited appeal
, and each collector will have to determine how essential this release is to
them.
