Comments:
A new year and a new style of Yellow Cat release,
depending upon what you collect will determine how you will see this title.
New collectors will be pleased with the single source for a compilation of Rehearsal
and Soundchecks which Paul played with his band between 1989 and 1993. Long
term collectors are already likely to have either the the original Westwood
One Oobu Jobu radio show or Yellow Cat series, which copied these with bonus
tracks, from which this release was complied.
Unfortunately there is no sleeve notes to help identify the tracks, so off
to the excellent book Eight Arms to Hold You, Chip Madinger + Mark Easter, buy
it.
As a compilation it works well and is a very listenable disc. Only you know
if you would like or need this disc. As you need the complete Oobu Jobu series
already for other tracks this title does not have Core status.
Belmo's Beatleg News incorrectly identifies this as a CDR release.
