An Update release of the out of print and hard to find Complete Christmas Collection 1963-1969 , with an additional 10 minutes of bonus material , not available on the excellent Vigotone release The Ultimate Beatles Christmas Collection .

I suppose if you have the earlier title this is a very disappointing release, if not a great one. Either way one disappointment is that Christmas Time (Is Here Again) is presented again in an incomplete edit despite Yellow Dog having the complete version available to them, having previously released this on their earlier Black Dog release Hodge Podge 4 , maybe that is the reason why not , with this being a Yellow Dog Japan rather than Europe release.

In 2005 The Ultimate Christmas Collection was released by Yellow Dog with further new material,around 12 minutes, making this older title obsolete, maybe those old Black Dog compilations of new bits and pieces were not that bad after all! It appears that as New Yellow Dog releases are being released from Japan that the Japanese style of issuing and reissuing titles was inevitable even for the bigger labels.
