As with Volume 1 a cdifficult set to review , with the majority of tracks having been available before and many in better quality.

What we have are the 1983 tapes that were recorded during the preparation for the famous Abbey Road Show. The recordings have captured The Beatles tracks as they are mixed on the fly and played back over the monitors. Occasionally John Barrett and Roger Scott discuss different aspects.

Whilst a core release for the unique mixes, odd new track and tantalizing snippets of others, I doubt that this is a disc that anyone would pullout and regularly listen. I am sure that at some point the key/new material will added to a 'best of collection' by a fan or another label.

Whilst no best of discs have appeared the material has been copied by Scorpio UK issued a 3CD in a digipak and the Silent Sea team an 8 CDR set of material in their Playback series.
