Comments:

This record has many titles, first release of the 'dark suit' Japanese show , first release on a new HQ label and release from an new partner for Ken D.

The history of the release is exceptionally complicated with not only the usual plethora of Ken D. variations , but with Dub taking a copy and releasing his own version and CBM and Wizardo using elements of the release for their own titles.

In 1988 a German label , using the original plates made a repress of many TAKRL titles on either black or coloured vinyl with a Limited Edition stamp of 100 on the rear cover.

Label's Synopsis 1976/7:

As described in the Label Anthology included with their final release T'anks For The Mammaries.

Our first record, the first issue of these tracks in the occidental world. Our tape came from the soundtrack of the then-obscure Japanese film. The cover was found by Ted McCue at a California artisans' fair. Listed in Hot Wacks (hereafter 'HW') as a copy of another LP. Wrong. In an experiment with color a while later,we reissued this as “Five nights in a Judo Arena” on a label with an outrageous pun for a name. The cover of 1900 is the only Sgt.Pepper outtake we’ve ever seen.

Alternate Pressings

Looking at the stamper variations, it appears that the original Japan 1900 was removed and TOKYO-A added on the opposite side of the dead wax with 1906-A/B having also been added .

Each stamper then varies with the etching out of '1906' and the position of the new DW-426 matrix and its distance from the erased '1906'.
