Comments:

Whilst many sources describe this as a genuine Joe Pope released Deccagone,seemingly ignoring the alternate degraded sleeve artwork and label variation, what can not be ignored is the alternate mastering and Joe printing a warning about pirate copies of his titles.

Original Comments:

The penultimate release of Decca material from the fan club label, with a new Futura Condensed Bold font, which appears on all the Rem(F)akes I have seen also.As with the other singles in the series it remained core material until 2007 for those brief seconds of canter not previously copied until a the needle drop expert Dr Ebbetts located a prime set and made an excellent transfer on his new Decca release The Decca Audition.

As with the earlier titles this fifth title was copied by at least one other label each using a remastered stampers, making it easy to identify the rem(F)akes. As with previous releases there is also a version which appears to be from the same master, but the unique gold label makes this easy to spot compared to the original.
