Cavern Club Morning 22 August 1962 , currently unavailable , I seem to recall that this session was Photographed , I will scout around and see what I can find.

On my first viewing of the Anthology TV special it was apparent that this was not the same old version of Some Other Guy that we had seen for the last two decades, with the 'Cavern Staircase entrance' and John not turning to the amp after the song,but to Paul. On close examination it was apparent that there is new footage of the group singing Some Other Guy but the audio appeared to be the same. It was not until the DVD release though that it became significantly easier to under take direct comparisons.

Clearly Two performances of Some Other Guy filmed –

Look at John’s hair line , what he does at the end of the song and where Paul’s shadow falls. Over Ringo’s face or to the side.

Take 1 – Ringo’s face out of shadow on, John has a tidy fringe , Turns to Paul at the end

Take 2 – Ringo’s face In Shadow , Curl In John’s hair , Turns to amp at end , We want Pete Heckle.

Raw Silent footage – songs to be identified , I have started.

So far three intros. ( I will need to check against September Audio Only Recording)

Two Outros

1. John turns to the amp and We want Pete – cry form the audience Johns’ reply yeah (?)
2. John Turns to the amp, but Pete comment not audible.
3. John turns to Paul at end of song

Additionally there seems to be various versions with alternate silent footage cut in. we will need to decide how many versions are required for completion. I would say a minimum of two may be three.

Additionally if anyone can confirm what version was broadcast 6 Nov 1963 by Granada.
