Fans-
Lizzie Bravo and Gayleen Pease, invited in by Paul to sing nothing's gonna change our world'
falsetto harmonies
Sound Effects 1 -3
These remain unused and SE2 and SE3 were both noted to be played backlwards on the tape box.
Glyn Johns Get Back Lp Mix 2
The Beatles Backing Vocals Mixed Out,
song faded early for cross fade into Get Back. Johns preceded the song with six seconds of spoken word
John saying 'Are you Alright Richie' but it is unclear if this has been edited in.
Version 1
Inclusive of 20 seconds of Animal Sound Effects at Begining and at the End overlapping the music . The 08 February 1968 overdub of tone Pedal Guitar and maracas are still very apparant.
Version 2
No known alternate takes after the addition of Phil Spector's 'Wall Of Sound' , Orchestration and Choir.
Version 3
A Mono remix of Version 2 made by combining the two stereo channels.
Version 4
Both channels of version One,World Wildlife Mix placed nearer to the centre.
Version 5
This take was temporarily marked as the best and whilst there was no 'wildlife noises' , 'high harmonies' or a 'Wall Of Sound' this very basic take is far from an acoustic only take and 'Lewisohn' decribes it as 'Gorgeous' and I can only agree.
Out Take 1
A dry take without any processing and the pre-song tuning is still present present. Quality isn't as clear as the Commercial release.
Out Take 2
A Sparser mix from acetate prior to the SI's that make latter versions so distinctive, there are no backward guitar or other sound effects and this version still has the 'guitar and drum ending' which was overdubed on the 08 Feb. 1968.
Out Take 3
An alternate mix with the extracts of the ' Hums Wild' Sounds effect recorded on the 04 Feb 1968 editted in. No Orchestration or Animal Sounds at this stage .
The take on some sources is preceeded by John saying Your Right Richie and two exhales.
Out Take 4
Whilst not that different to all other versions of Take 8 and 9 , without the
overdubs, it has a quality . Whilst some of the special effects and superimpositions
are on this mix, Glyn Johns has done an excellent job.
Listen To Guitar mixed further forward throughout ,the maracas have been mixed
out around 0:50 as has the heavy flanging and The Beatles ownbacking vocals
mixed out. Some sources state that the fans falsetto harmony has also been wiped
, check out the sample they are still very present whilst not mixed so forward.
To identify this mix listen more for what's not present and a good 'round' sound.
Now available after almost 30 years.
