Notes

*1 Mark Lewisohn's excellent The Complete The Beatles Recording Sessionsbook states that takes 1-32 were recorded this evening, however the Recording Sheets and Tape reel box show that the take count restarted when the reel was replaced so there are numerous duplicate takes rather than 32 . However in Mark's defence the sheets do show that the takes were unannounced and the book accompanying with the deluxe 50th anniversary reissue did elude to this and uses both identifications.

*2 Mark Lewisohn's also states that as the sound effects cabinet was opened that an unnumbered number of takes were used to add chirping blackbirds from volume seven 'birds of a feather' and in house tape. However the book included with the 2018 Deluxe reissue of the album states that these were not added until the October remixing, which may explain the difference between the final mono and stereo remixes. Thankfully Take 13b RM6 or Take 32 RM6 appears on the Peter Sellers' Tape and does not have the chirping birds present.

*3 A 2:20 acetate with an EMIDISC label circulates cut by Phil McDonald and is probably Take 13bRM6 aka Take 32RM6, from the description of the contents,
