Comments:

A copy of the Moonlight Records release, The Animated Film Soundtracks plus an additional track, with no Beatles connection , the theme tune for the ITC productions TV series of The Adventures of Rupert The Bear. A still from this show has been added to the book in Rupert's hands on the rear tray art. I can see no benefit in locating this version over that of the original Moonlight Records release.

Whilst The the Guide Eight Arms to Hold You describes the packaging as stunning, I can only assume that there is an alternate version around as this edition has simple artwork that anyone with 'Paintshop' could have thrown together. The inner tray has an image Rupert the Bear replaced by that of the 'drag artist' Rupaul cut and pasted from their 1996 album Foxy Lady. The remainder is simply lifted from various Rupert Annuals.

Original Comments:

There is nothing new on this release, having been previously released as bonus tracks on the Yellow Cat Oobu Joobu series of 17 CD's , it is however beneficial to have them on a single source and in context. As the sleeve notes describe the Animated Rupert The Bear tracks have been digitally remastered, whilst having been declicked and popped the sound appears more natural on the original Library Product release Rupert The Bear demo soundtrack . This title remains a core choice for the soundtrack of the animated short Daumier's Law so for some they will no t wish to look out the Library release for the slight marginal if not more more listenable upgrade.

The rear artwork like the earlier Library release continues to use an image of Rupert from the 1985 Rupert Annual

This title was copied on the Broad Street Toons CDR release, The RuPaul Tapes , with a single bonus track of the original Rupert TV show theme , which has no Beatles link. Whilst the excellent guide Eight Arms to Hold You shows the Moonlight release it recommends the artwork of this copy , which merely adds more cribbed artwork .
