At first glance this looked just to be a straight reissue of the Advance Released version with the same glass pressed disc. was it a cheap marketing ploy to sell more copies , a problem with the opriginal artwork , who knows?

I have seen numerous copies of this title with the nice new colour sleeve, but having checked the disc once to see if it was the same pressing as teh Advance released version , I paid no attention to further copies.

I was always confused by the rear artwork having what has now become the standard CD logo , unlike the one appearing on the original disc and artwork, but since when have bootlegs not had errors and ommissions , after all don't the Authorites advocate that is one of the easiest ways of spoting FAKES and Counterfeits. A dealer then tried to pursade me that he had a remastered edition by Vigotone. So I took a better look at the disc. Same matrix and glass mastering but this time with teh new Compact Disc logo matching the rear artwork.

I have seen many copies since with both disc versions. Until I come across any Advanced releases with the newer disc I can only assuem that a second pressing was made and a new screen print used to reflect the newer style logo rather than dealers / traders having mixed up which disc belonged to which title. Any further information appreciated.

Many authors have reported that the quality varies between all the releases but , this is teh second version I have found using the same glass master so maybe there are not as many versions as previously reported.

The 'Back Tracks ' series does however continues to be confusing .

Part 2 of the series was reportably Re-Mastered by Vigotone, and whilst I have found a disc image of a rematsered disc , I have been unable to trace any artwork which confrms the involvement of Vigotone unlike Part 3 , the mastering is contemporary with that of part 3 but, many discs were mastered in Taiwan at the time for many different labels.
