In August 1995 Vigotone announced the release
of an 8CD to compliment Get Back Journals
Part One featuring 9 hours from the Twickenham Sessions
and features two hours of unreleased. The package included a book of rare
photos and text about the Get Back Sessions and the history
of it's release on LP's and CD's
This time there was no deluxe 'film case', other than a special limited
release of just 100 for the Japanese market, but a large slip case containing
a white gatefold box containing eight CD's in 4 slim double jewels cases
and a deluxe 24 page book.
The Set was shipped in a stickered polysleeve and was available right
through to the closure of the label in 2001. There have been at least
three factory pressings and at least three CDR variations, assuming that
the final releases were SKC printed CDR's.
What is surprising is that in 1998, after the genuine releases were available
only on CDR, a factory pressed FAKE appeared in Europe with a very good
copies of the artwork and slipcase. These are easily identified by Coloured
Picture disc labels. Unfortunately the mastering of three discs with in
this FAKE had errors. Leaving many collectors who picked up by mistake
feeling cheated.
