This is a first release of this epic set, I have been working on this
for over 5 weeks now and figured it was time to get this show on the road!
YMC brings together all known material that emerged during the Remasters
2009 era, this includes:
-Mini Documentaries DVD (part of the Stereo Boxset)
-The Beatles On Record (a BBC Documentary broadcast around the release
of the remasters)
-090909 Radio Show (again broadcast around the time of the release of
the remasters)
-All Together Now DVD (The Making of Love DVD)
-The Rockband Game (these taken from the PS3 via Optical Output)
Track Sources
All of these tracks are presented in the best possibly quality, except
for the 'Beatles On Record' tracks which are mp3 source. I hope to replace
these in time with uncompressed - but can't find these anywhere. MP3 source
material is marked.
Rockband Tracks
The Rockband game contained over 200+ fragments of sound in 10 second
bursts. Many of these were song specific, but some were generic unknown
sound, again these have been marked.
Also worth noting is the annoying 'She's A Woman' chord which is everywhere
in this game, but means nothing, along with the guitar tuning which plagues
the fragments of 'Dear Prudence.'
Some of these tracks were easy to assemble as the fragments overlapped,
but others were harder. Where a match was not there I have presented separate
fragments. Do not be fooled by the edits on the Audiofon discs, these
involved some pretty crude cross-fading of elements, and editing of fragments
from the wrong track source - this has been corrected here.
New Audio / Beware Fake Stereo
All captures from the Rockband game are brand new optical from PS3, and
almost all elements are mono. Again do not be fooled by fake stereo processing
on Rockband studio outtakes, these are fake stereo as all game fragments
are in mono.
Take Numbers
I have only added Take numbers to tracks with Take announcements, or those
that could be located in John Lewisohn's book by description. Others have
been named 'Unknown.'
Anything Missing?
This is very much Release V1.
With over 100 tracks in the set it has been a mammoth task processing
all of this material, and I have made every effort to include everything
out there. But should you have anything extra to add (or the TBOR tracks
uncompressed), please give me a shout by PM and I will update the set.
I have not included the Please Please Me material as there was nothing
new from this era what is not already available in better quality - and
some of it was not even from this album!
