Nothing new this time on our fifth outing of Songs From The Past. Sourced from tape this is a vast improvement in quality to the earlier vinyl sources of Dream is Over , Sweet Apple Trax and Get Back Journals.

When released this was thought to be a collection of random days material , as Yellow Dog's mammoth collection of The complete Day By Day series became available it was apparent what we had was a heavy edit of 3 January Sessions and topped off with a few from the 7 January.

Whilst the first pressing has the same matrix as volume 4 it clearly has alternate mastering and I assume that this master was remade with the correct plant master code. The reissue mastering for Volume 1 and two was undertaken some considerable after this remastering, so you may find slimline first issues with the remastered disc.

I have seen an Italian CDR fake of the reissue but not the slim jewel case edition.
