Comments:

An Italian copy of the hard to come 'buy' Japanese Original .Some sources have suggested the people behind the Great Dane published this title, I have been unable to confirm this. Who ever produced this title , also produced a FAKE of Masterdisc's Sessions title.

I have not heard the original , but comparing this version to the Spank Issue which is a copy of the Japanese Original release, I would say that there has been some loss of audio quality

Original Comments:

Ignoring the Italian FAKE, which appears to be the most common version, this hard to find Japanese bootleg, brought us for the first time an excellent quality source of the 'Peter Sellers Tape'. The Tape is collection/sample tracks from the LP ,The Beatles , aka The White, which Ringo gave to the actor Peter Sellers. The presented tracks are of a mixture of mixes that were to be eventually released on the official album and some earlier mixes.

This excellent release from a very respected Japanese company remains CORE today after over a dozen years and is likely to remain so. The 910 guides recommend the Spank disc on the basis that it is easier to come 'Buy' , but in 2007 I am not convinced , you are more likely see a FAKE than an original of either label but the Masterdisc non Limited Edition versions regularly appear.

The Italian FAKE pressings are very easy to spot having a clear matrix showing "MANUFACTURED IN ITALY BY OPTI.ME.S. " , However this does not seem to stop them selling on occasions for similar prices to originals.

The Vigotone subsidiary Spank used a copy of this for their own release of the same name, adding a single track of a chat with Peter Sellers from the Get back Sessions.. I have not been able to do a side by side comparison , if any one has could they please provide a quick A/B review.
