The Complete Decca Audition

I must confess to being totally confused with the Decca tape recordings. It is reported that Masterdisc copied the Yellow Dog release - The Original Decca Tapes & Cavern Club Rehearsals and that this was copied and processed and speed corrected by Masterdisc , which we have here.

This was then copied by Vigotone on their March 5, 1963 plus The Decca Tape and on Yellow Dog's Ultimate Collection Volume 1 , Disc 1 and it's reissue The Decca Tapes , but that this was further processed with some stereo effect.

So if I have interpreted the history correctly , Masterdisc , has yet again enhanced a previous recording increasing it's core status. The only reason this disc does NOT get core status is the inclusion of it on the Vigotone release with other core material.

As with other Masterdisc titles , we have the original limited edition release followed by a gold disc reissue and the very limited edition box set.

There may also be a Japanese Clone on Orange Records titled - The Silver Beatles , any details of these would be a appreciated.

Whilst early titles were copied by the Italians I have yet to trace any details that this title was, probably because of the Protection Gap situation slowly being closed at the Time of it's release.
