A reissue/copy of the European label Midnight Beat release, no lavish packaging which Vigotone had became famous . Probably easier to locate than the Midnight Beat release because of the extended period of availability over a four year period. |
The first Beatles related release from a company not directly
related to Yellow Dog , but maybe with assistance
from them, and what a start not one new stereo sound board concert but three
and with alternate mixes to the official 'Crapitol' through together.
Whilst this was a limited edition box set that sold out very quickly , around a year latter some unnumbered copies appeared , these may be unofficial , but with the only difference I could see being that the insert was unnumbered there is nothing between the two. At the time of release the American Authorities were clamping down on imported discs and this set was very hard if not impossible to get, it is unclear whether the release by a new Vigotone subsidiary , Repro-man, was to fill this gap in the market or just profitering Either way the double CDR issued was without the usual lavish Vigotone packaging making in my mind the Midnight Beat as the Core Choice for this material. The Midnight Beat disc. art has been used for the Russian remake , though I have not heard or seen a review of the Azir issue so I am unable to comment on these. |
