To Be Expected - Sampler

An Interesting first title on the Strawberry Records label clearly showing the affiliation to Yellow Dog and Orange Records . It has been described as a dealer only or promotional release, never intended for general release. I always had reservations about these descriptions, would a dealer really want this title or would they just sell it? However my main concern was the shear number of discs that I have seen too many for a promotional release.

A recent find of an alternate pressing has very much confirmed in my mind that this may have been a promotional release but it was very much aimed at the collectors to provide details of proposed future releases and if I were being cynical to raise funds.

All but the final track Laugh were eventually released, with The Day By Day series not commencing until 2000.Technically whilst still Core for that final madness, I would redirect you to a Video release which has the Laugh in context and complete.

What ever the reason for this release it remains a very popular selling for premium prices.
