I have been challenged several times as to why I consider the 19 track The Real Ultimate Christmas Album as being a FAKE. My reasons are the actual disc pressing and mastering of the disc and close examination of the disc art. The rear disc art is clearly fuzzy and copied. It is very easy to duplicate the copy starting with the original in approximately 4 stages 1. lift the image cutting off 'The Beatles. 2.You then paste over the new Title THE BEATLES The Real Ultimate Christmas Album. 3. Block out the Original Walrus logo with a Green block. 4. Add the new tracks and a green block at the base of the image 5. Cut ands paste in the new Walrus logo with update copyright year of 1999. Sorry this was not Produced by the Walrus People , as were NOT several other pirated titles. |
An unremarkable CD , from Walrus a hard to find European label, we have what appears to be a remake of Yellow Dog's Complete Christmas Collection 1963-1969 which was issued originally on 1992 and reissued in 1994. With a few additional Commercially released bonus tracks. This was done far better on the Vigotone release The Ultimate Beatles Christmas Collection which was released latter the same year. Additionally a German remake of this original Walrus was issued with a slightly amended artwork,a picture CD, see below, and bonus tracks , which look as if they have been 'lifted' from the Westwood One 'On The Radio Promo Vol. 2 of the "Rarities On Compact Disc". |
