Comments:

The first Beatles related release on Yellow Dog's new sister label, and what a great start to what became a key label for new Solo releases for over a decade.

The 'Up Close' broadcast was edited from two shows that Paul and his band recorded on the 10th and 11th December and were subject to post production prior to broadcast making this release an instant Core release. Unfortunately the show is not complete with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band not present. This was eventually released in 1994 on as sister label release Orange records Big Mac's Live Tracks.

I have not seen any alternate pressings, which is from a period where Yellow Dog was having pressing difficulties and if you have an alternate please drop me a line as this pressing appears so different to other YD pressings of the period.

A Japanese double CD release Up Close lists a complete show with break s, but I have been unable to locate a copy to compare the quality.
