Recording History

NOTES

The first trace of this acetate I can locate is in July 2021 on at a UK Auction house, it looks very similar tothe four previous Dick James acetates to surface.

Whilst acetates were the recording media of the day, this looks to be another genuine discs and further raises the query how rare are Dick James acetates and what was their purpose. I assume that the audio will be the standard mono mix.

An original Dick James Music Ltd. 7-inch acetate for The Beatles 1963 song 'All My Loving'. On the white and red Dick James Demo Disc label with printed artist and title details. It comes in a plain brown sleeve. The record skips at the start of the track. There are several light surface marks over the vinyl. The condition of the acetate is very good minus.
