A funny release from the prolific fan label, by 1999 the title was no longer core and there was no material not available in better quality on other. Having said that this title easily fulfils the labels objective to bring the best version of any release to the public domain. Probably mainly of interest to label collectors or anyone who has the factory pressed source disc. I don't know if any artwork was issued with the original remaster in 1999, but when circulated in 2012 the artwork had the new RMW logo and catalogue number. |
A short European bootleg attempting to fill the hole left in the market for alternate mixes on CD after the successful commercial release of the two official Past Masters Collections. During a protection gap period this title could of had a wider distribution if the artwork was more professional. Whilst Moonlight Bay had been available for a few years on vinyl it appeared here first, along with the preceding TV skit, on CD. These were officially released in audio on Anthology 1 in 1995 and Anthology Video in 1996. The rear tray is oversized, all copies I have seen have a rucked tray, and has several errors In 1999 The Remasters Workshop 'remastered' this release which received a very limited circulation on the Bootleg Records label with a catalogue number of KAS028. In 2012 this was reissued under catalogue number RMW028. with updated artwork. |
I believe this may have been used in a trade, but it was never circulated anywhere else. The text on the back insert has been retouched to correct the spelling of "unavailbale" and "Morecombe" to "unavailable" and "Morecambe" and to change the name of "Why My Guitar Gently Weeps" to "While..." as well as to reflect the new track times (not including :03 of silence at the end of each). |
