The Second release, excluding the final Day By Day's which I will discuss elsewhere, from Yellow Dog (Japan) after their reported demise. Some people believe that we are looking at a 'New Dog' only time will tell, what is clear is that we are looking at a lesser product in relation to both production and audio. Previously a release of this type of material would have been redirected to one of their many lesser labels, additionally we are now seeing Non Beatles related returning for the first time since 2000, when a bonus Rolling Stone disc was issued with the Black Box Millennium edition, which at the time had the unique YD2000. We are told on the rear artwork that " Some Tracks were previously released, but for this compassion a better source was used, going back two or three generations. Also, no noise reduction was applied' . An interesting statement in two ways one that we have NO tell tale Yellow Dog Noise Reduction and secondly that they feel the need to make comment on the quality of what they are selling. Is this the same Yellow Dog that brought us Leaning On A Lamppost that not only matched but surpassed many Vigotone releases. |
