A well discussed disc, with great expectations but few facts and at least two other homemade compilations purporting
to be this release circulating .
I have received clarification that this was little more than a private
compilation 'knocked up' one Christmas with only seventeen numbered copies being made. If you ignore the slight upgrades there is now really little of interest as new releases bacame available.
Two and a bit tracks, In My Life and She Said, She Said Complete
but Run For Your Life including the previously unavailable
Short rehearsal / Busk prior to 'Take 5' announcement, first became available on another Fan/Collectors CDR In My Life which was
subsequently copied in it's entirety on the Roaring Mouse 1998 release, (From Me To You)
Unfortunately Happiness is A Warm Gun is NOT an early Mono Mix, without
many overdubs including Guitar, despite the report in the Vol.5 No5+6 - 910 newsletter 'this appears to be a genuine alternate mix'. It is merely an OOPS track. An outfake also appears on Invasion Unlimited's 1997 release Anthology Plus, but I do not know if it is the same track or just another fake.
Whilst The Pegboy release It's Not To Bad
included many more informal recordings of Strawberry Fields Forever ,
the two takes have been confirmed to be of a slightly better quality,
so we can only assume that a better source is yet to become available.
I would appreciate improved images if anyone is able to provide them.
