Trade Mark Of Quality
T.M.Q/T.M.O.Q

A label of quality which evolved from numerous nondescript labels. All of these early titles were reissued on TMQ.
One of it's creators said that once TMQ was thought of there was no other label.

For decades there has been and remains to be considerable confusion over what has to be the most famous of labels. The primary problem is not just the evolution of a label but also the split of the cofounders, with both parties releasing their own releases using the same pressing plants and printers.

Did I also mention that when you are the best everyone aspires to be you and are happy to copy you.

I will endeavor to create a pictorial history of each release as I locate images If you are able to assist

Upclose

An alternate label which originally used TMQ masters to have their own products pressed, prior to releasing their own 'new' titles.
There are several sister labels many of which were issued with TMQ2 labels. Their quality control was not as good as
original TMQ releases and some have dubbed this label as The Trade Mark of Quantity.

In 1987 they also released TMQ titles using labels with the original logo pressed from the original masters.

TMQ "Glossy"

Pressed from original Stampers with high gloss covers and various labels.
