Comments:

An excellent double pirate release of both the UK and USA rarities variations. The UK album was released in October 1970 and was a very good collection of 'B'sides and EP's brought together in one place and not surprisingly was a huge success.

However when Capitol saw the success they initially scheduled a release in November of the UK line up, this was immediately recalled with the majority of tracks had already been released in America and a new track listing considered . The retracked and packaged US Rarities was released in March 1980.

Do you need this release,YES, as the first CD to have the unique US Rarities mixes this title will have been 'Core' for a period, there have since been a few factory pressed versions, and I have not been able to do a full A/B . It is a shame that the artwork of this releases provides no details about the tracks they list.

The short Sergeant Pepper Inner Groove, follows You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) on track 14, probably because of the 'restrictions' of track lengths for CD's.

The correct cover for this release is the US artwork not the Compact Disc sheet, as with many releases from Japan the cover art's fold is on the right hand side.
